Reading Challenge- Take it on!
Click the bookshelf to get started!
Reading is the perfect way for you to escape over this unexpected break. You have LOTS of time to read books of your choice. Take full advantage of that by accepting our Reading Challenge. As you finish reading texts, color a book and write in the title. Work to see how many you can fill in before we return to school.

15 texts may seem like a lot, but starting with graphic novels, or interesting non fiction (check out or digital reading page) will be great to get the ball rolling. Feel free to include ANY texts you read. Magazines- yes! Poetry- of course! Picture books that you read to your younger siblings- for sure! You may find that once you get started, you need another shelf to hold all of the amazing texts you devour.

Print out your "bookshelf" and put it on your refrigerator, in your room, or somewhere else that you'll see it regularly. It will be a nice visual reminder that reading is a great option as you read for class, or read to relax beyond the 30 minutes for lit class.

Bring your bookshelf with you when you return to school, and you'll knock your teachers' socks off! You may even find yourself rewarded with a new book to take home. More than anything, you'll feel empowered, informed, and proud that you've accomplished the brain stretching task. What are you waiting for?! Click the bookshelf. Print a copy. Get reading!
