This past year's sixth grade class was the GREATEST at digging up awesome books. From picking the brains of teachings and librarians, to looking online- these students found some really entertaining books. Click the image to read recommendations of their favorite books that they read in six grade.
Battle of the Books
Shhh... the secret's out! We've got our hands on next year's Battle of the Books list. These books are hand selected simply because they are books we are SURE you'll love. Get a head start on the list before school even starts. Before you go out and purchase any books, make sure to check out the Friday Memorial Library- you're sure to find them there!
2019 Teens Top 10 Nominees
The Teens' Top Ten is a "teen choice" list, where teens nominate and choose their favorite books of the previous year! Nominators are members of teen book groups in fifteen school and public libraries around the country.

There is no doubt that there are books you'd love just waiting for you on this list. Watch the video, and then read descriptions of books you think look interesting. All of these books can be found at the Friday Memorial Library!
The final 100 has a little bit of everything: tales of trying to fit in, escaping to magical lands, facing prejudice, coming of age and fighting to survive. There are animal stories, pioneer sagas, science-fiction adventures and, of course, beloved classics.
